Is this a swallowtail? I have always loved butterflies… and insects of all types. I love this perspective… the shadow of the head and antennae visible through the leaf… the rest of the wings hanging down…beautiful!
I'm not sure on the names. I read a book at the library on Aussie butterflies, it took me ages to identify my icon picture…A Tailed Emperor; how cool is that.
First butterfly for spring, it was so big, I couldn't believe it. This was the end result of a 5 minute game of hide and seek.
